Three attackers Liverpool should pursue in January.

Liverpool easily defeated LASK 4-0 to advance to the Europa League knockout stages.

Kylian Mbappe, the striker for Paris Saint-Germain, is still connected to the Reds in spite of the continuous rumors that he would join Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Federico Chiesa may depart Juventus, according to rumors in Italy. The Italian’s transfer to Anfield was suggested last summer, and according to recent reports, the Serie A team may make an approach for the attacker this summer.

The manager of Preston North End, Ryan Lowe, has responded to reports claiming that his team is considering signing Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah.

Andre Onana is ranked as the Premier League’s second-best goalkeeper by Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

There are several excellent goalkeepers in the English premier league that would contend to be among the greatest. On the other hand, Liverpool fans would feel comfortable naming Alisson Becker the finest goalkeeper in all of football—not just the Premier League. Ederson of Manchester City is frequently compared to his Brazilian colleague, while Emi Martinez of Aston Villa may have the more individual accolades.

Andre Onana’s transition to David De Gea at Old Trafford has not gone well at all. The Cameroon international came under fire for his most recent mistake during Man United’s draw with Galatasaray, and it has been said that he is afraid of losing his spot in the starting lineup.

Ten Hag boldly defended his goalie, hoping to instill trust in Onana. Based on the xG of the shots each goalie has faced, the Dutch head coach pointed to the data and said that only Thomas Kaminski of Luton Town (4.5) has stopped more goals than Onana (3.4). However, he conspicuously left Alisson out of the discussion.

“If you analyse it well then you see he is the second-best goalkeeper in the Premier League based on stats,” Ten Hag stated. “In the Premier League, his anticipated goal-preventing percentage is ranked second.

“He’s performing well, but he is aware of the mistakes he made in the Champions League. But he has performed admirably during the first five months overall.”

Furious As Jurgen Klopp cuts off a TV interview, Harvey Elliott allays concerns about injuries to Liverpool.

Liverpool defeated LASK 4-0 at Anfield on Thursday to easily advance to the Europa League round of 16.

The Reds easily defeated Group E thanks to goals from Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and Cody Gakpo. This puts them one win away from their campaign’s final match, which will take place later this month away at Union Saint-Gilloise in Brussels.

Of course, you were aware of all of that, but there were a few fascinating subplots that the evening may have overlooked.
