Reason why Sir Ratcliffe deal could be delayed beyond January

The Glazers will continue to own the majority of the stock as a result of Ratcliffe’s acquisition of a minority interest, but he hopes to add more shares in the ensuing years.

He has requested for influence over football-related decisions as part of the agreement. How much of an impact Joel would have on the club’s transfer negotiations is up for debate.

Since taking over in 2005, the Glazers have not made a single expenditure out of their own funds, and some fans would prefer that they not participate in decision-making.

We’ll just have to wait and see for now. Ratcliffe’s agreement could be postponed past January. The procedure can take a lot longer than usual because United is listed on the NYSE.
