Peter Crouch predicts the Carabao Cup winner between Chelsea and Liverpool.

The predictions are beginning to come in for Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final match against Chelsea, which is less than a month away.

Peter Crouch predicts the Carabao Cup winner between Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Reds defeated Fulham 3-2 overall on Wednesday, winning the match rather easily and sending them to the Wembley final.

A day earlier at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea crushed Middlesbrough 6-1, making much easier work of their own semi-final. It is hence a replay of the uninteresting 2022 final.

That day, Liverpool emerged triumphant following a penalty shootout in which each of the 22 players took a spot kick. Furthermore, former Reds striker Peter Crouch supported his old team to defeat Chelsea once more in a statement made to TalkSPORT yesterday.

“From Liverpool’s perspective, they should not be at all afraid of the Chelsea game,” claims Crouch. This season, I’ve watched a lot of Chelsea, and I’m really upset. It’s definitely not the Liverpool vs. Chelsea match from when I was participating in such matches; they were a far superior team than us at the time.

“They’re going through a transitional phase right now, and Liverpool is the superior team. Thus, I believe they’ll breeze through that.

Crouch supports Liverpool Cup victory

Two years ago, the first trophy of the season could have gone to anyone, but next month, Liverpool should be the overwhelming favorites to win it.

The Reds are not only leading the Premier League right now, but they are also eight spots clear of Chelsea.

But in a cup final, naturally, that type of thing tends to go out the window. It should be mentioned that the Blues are now far below expectations, especially considering the caliber of their roster.

Liverpool has lost all three of their previous encounters against them, despite their poor standing both this season and last.

Every one of the previous seven meetings between the two sides has ended in a tie, including the two 2022 cup finals. Since September 2020, the Reds have not defeated Chelsea in ninety minutes. That is really amazing.

On February 25th, hopefully, that duck will be broken. We cannot endure another excruciating, pointless 180 minutes at Wembley.

It’s probably improbable that Jurgen Klopp draws any inspiration from those two games.Remarkably, out of the fifteen Chelsea players that played on that day, just three are still with the team. It’s a completely different team with Mauricio Pochettino in the dugout instead of Thomas Tuchel.

It’s not a team that is performing particularly well right now, as Crouch points out.Naturally, Liverpool will be cautious about this label, but they are unquestionably the favorites.
