To face LASK in the Europa League, Jurgen Klopp made a number of changes to his Liverpool team, but Mo Salah was still selected and led the Reds at Anfield against the Austrian team.

Mohamed Salah has made demands of Jurgen Klopp, according to Michael Owen, and Joe Cole concurs.

Michael Owen, a former player for the Reds, claims that Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp have a confidential deal for Salah to play every Liverpool game.

This season, the Egyptian striker has excelled for Klopp’s team both at home and in Europe. Though the Reds are on the verge of securing their place in the next round, it was unexpected to see him start Thursday night’s Europa League match against LASK at Anfield.

Owen now believes that Salah is demanding to play for Liverpool in every game that is feasible. The former Real Madrid forward added, “He must be saying to Jurgen Klopp ‘I want to play in these games,'” on TNT Sports before of the Reds’ matchup with LASK. Does he not just churn out the games? He is amazing. A device.”

Joe Cole, another former Liverpool player, concurs with that notion. He went on, “It seems like he has a problem with the gaffer because he wants to play every game.” Owen answered, “You always want to play, and if you don’t, it’s not right, especially when it’s a night game at Anfield.”

Given how many games Salah has played since moving from Roma, their theory might not be all that off. With the Reds, the 31-year-old has made 324 appearances and scored 198 goals.

This season, he has only missed one game: the Carabao Cup 3-1 triumph against Leicester. Before the match against LASK, Salah has made 18 appearances across all competitions, scoring 12 goals.

Salah expressed his desire to play as much as possible when speaking a few seasons ago. He said to beIN Sports, “I want to play every minute of every game.” Not just ninety-nine minutes, but ninety-five! However, I do appreciate the manager’s choices.

Although many would have expected him to score first against LASK, Luis Diaz, one of his teammates, took the lead with an excellent header, marking his first goal back at Anfield since August. However, Salah was involved in the Reds’ second goal, which Cody Gakpo scored after a low cross from Salah.

Salah hopes to be back in action this weekend after the match against LASK. Liverpool will welcome Fulham in a Premier League match at Anfield.
