Leandro Trossard of Arsenal predicts a close title competition and applauds Declan Rice’s contribution.

The Gunners maintained their perfect start on Saturday by rallying from a 2-0 deficit to draw 2-2 at Chelsea.

The team of Mikel Arteta is now in second place, one point clear of third-placed Liverpool and tied with league leaders Manchester City in terms of points.

But when Tottenham plays Fulham on Monday, they have a chance to overtake the top spot.

Trossard also thinks that the early going of this season has demonstrated how competitive this year’s title race will be.

It will be a close call in the end, he said, adding that many teams have improved their rosters.

However, it is still early, therefore we need to approach it game by game and want to succeed in doing so.

“Well done to the players [against Chelsea]; they never gave up and never lost hope. You can see that all it takes to alter a game is a single instant.

Declan Rice’s amazing goal brought us back into the game and restored our faith in our ability to win. As you can see, we were still able to earn points.
