Four Manchester United players are highlighted by Erik ten Hag after the team defeated Brighton.

Diogo Dalot, Hannibal Mejbri, Marcus Rashford, and Rasmus Hojlund all performed admirably in Manchester United’s humiliating loss to Brighton and Hove Albion, according to Erik ten Hag.

On Saturday afternoon in the Premier League at Old Trafford, the Red Devils were soundly defeated by a strong Brighton team. The team has already lost to Arsenal and Tottenham this year, making it their third defeat overall.

Prior to Hannibal’s first goal for the team, United had fallen behind the opposition 3-0 in the match. Ten Hag was eager to compliment the young midfielder’s contribution to the game in an interview with MUTV following the setback.

He accomplished the goal for which we brought him on, making a difference and adding vigour. The supervisor reported that “He did it.”

“I believe there were more players, including Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot, who both played extremely well. Rasmus Hojlund was constantly a danger. On the pitch, we had some excellent athletes. We were unfortunate and unlucky. The outcome was that we didn’t find what we were looking for.

The booing that erupted at Old Trafford after Hojlund was replaced as the Red Devils were attempting to get back into the game was also addressed by Ten Hag.

The striker’s performance, the manager insisted, was evidenced by the booing.
“I think it was positive, you see that the fans in the first moment at Old Trafford, the reception for [Hojlund] was great, I think he performed very well,” he remarked.

“Therefore, I believe it’s wise that they send him this message and signal. Rasmus will gain confidence from that, but everyone is aware that he arrived with a minor problem, that we have been preparing him for the past three to four weeks, and that he is not yet prepared for a full game. Additionally, we have a lot of games that must be played quickly, so yes, we must improve his fitness.

The 2023/24 Champions League group stage will begin on Wednesday, and United will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Bayern Munich.
