With both Xavi and the Liverpool manager departing at the end of the current season, Jürgen Klopp is clearly needed at Barcelona.

Barcelona has already received a response from Jürgen Klopp, as Liverpool’s reality is evident.

It appears that this summer will be the ultimate managerial roller coaster. The first step came when Jürgen Klopp declared he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the current campaign.

It seems sense that there is anxiety at Anfield regarding his replacement. In the end, though, FSG will essentially have their choice of applicants because of Klopp’s efforts, which have made the Liverpool position one of the largest in the world—even larger than it was when he started, with a sleeping behemoth now fully awake.

In addition to adding to the summer’s drama by revealing that he, too, will be stepping down at the end of the campaign, Xavi’s announcement also solidified Barcelona’s status as a team in decline. Compared to Klopp, this situation is much different because the Catalans are having trouble on the pitch.

Even if Sky Sports is aware that there are “no plans” for Mikel Arteta to leave Arsenal, there have been rumours regarding the Spaniard’s role there. Although it seems unthinkable that Liverpool would be interested in him, it is still unclear whether Barcelona’s approach would be enough to make him change his mind.

However, there is currently no sign that Barcelona is interested in Arteta. Actually, it seems to be investigating the most straightforward option first—asking whether Klopp could be acquired.

It’s reported that President Joan Laporta has long liked Klopp. Even before Xavi made his declaration, Sport speculated that Barcelona was probably keeping an eye on the retiring Liverpool manager.

However, Klopp has already responded. From a Catalan point of view, his exit from Liverpool may seem like the right time, but things won’t be that easy.

“It is not feasible for me to manage a team or a nation for a minimum of one year,” Klopp stated to the Liverpool website after revealing his departure. “I don’t want to and I can’t do that. That is all.

It’s a clear declaration that excludes all possibility of misunderstanding. When Klopp leaves Liverpool, he won’t be entering management immediately, therefore Barcelona will have to wait to have a chance at signing him.

It doesn’t appear very possible that Klopp will ever be drawn to the position unless things at Nou Camp drastically change. It clearly has that big-name draw, just like Liverpool, but the two teams’ operational styles couldn’t be more dissimilar.
