Arsenal is continuing to monitor Sacha Boey of Galatasaray.

After scouting the Frenchman over the summer, it is said that Arsenal is still keeping an eye on the position of Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey.

Arsenal is continuing to monitor Sacha Boey of Galatasaray.

Boey was heavily rumored to be moving to the Emirates Stadium for the 2023–24 campaign, but the Gunners instead acquired Jurrien Timber from Ajax for £38.5 million.

Despite his key contributions in the Eredivisie, the Dutchman was signed to play as a right-back, but his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest in August was sadly cut short by an ACL injury.

Although Mikel Arteta still has Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Cedric Soares available to play on the right, Timber, who played just under 50 minutes at the Emirates that day, is now at risk of missing the rest of the season.

Cedric, who has yet to play in the Premier League this year, is anticipated to depart the team when his contract expires in the summer, and Tomiyasu has had trouble keeping fit since coming to the club from Bologna in 2021.

At the beginning of the new season, Thomas Partey was also tried out as a right-back, but Arteta’s experiment failed, and the Ghanaian swiftly switched back to his midfield position.

Turkish publication Fotospor believes that Arsenal are still pursuing Boey, who has made a fantastic start to the season with Galatasaray, ahead of Cedric’s planned exit in 2024.

The 23-year-old has started each of Galatasaray’s 17 games this season, scoring once in a 2-2 draw with Copenhagen in the Champions League and playing the full 90 minutes in a subsequent 3-2 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
