After struggling in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola believes Manchester United and Chelsea can turn things around.

Erik ten Hag is under further pressure following United’s 3-1 loss to Brighton at home on Saturday, while Chelsea’s goal-scoring woes continued on Sunday when they drew 0-0 at Bournemouth.

United have now lost three of their first five Premier League games, while Chelsea have only won once in their first five games and have only collected five points under Mauricio Pochettino.

Guardiola has admired the ways in which Arsenal and Liverpool have started the current campaign, but he also thinks that United and Chelsea will find their form “sooner or later.”

It won’t last the entire season because we will have ups and downs. Guardiola made this statement prior to City’s Tuesday night matchup with Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League group stage. However, because of the way they started, significant teams are now traveling farther.

However, you know how powerful Arsenal is; I saw the match at Goodison Park [versus Everton] yesterday, and they are outstanding.

Liverpool, once more, is where their mentality persists.
Guardiola smiled and responded to the question regarding United’s start by saying, “Well, they didn’t start like I think they expected, like Chelsea, but always Man United, Chelsea, sooner or later they take the rhythm.”

“But it is important for us, [winning] five from five is really, really good,” he continued.
